-plans to contest elections from Choppadandi assembly constituency of Erstwhile Karimnagar
An adage goes that Leaders are born and made. The adage aptly suits to Janagama Narsing, the Telangana state president of Bahujana Sankshema Sangham (BSS). Born in the sundilla village of Ramagiri mandal of Peddapalle district does not require any introduction in erstwhile Karimnagar district. Narsing has shot to fame thanks to his social service activities. He has also championed the cause of Dalit development and is instrumental in thr recent resurgent Dalit uprising in the state. The Dalit leader’s sole dream is to achieve the rule of the oppressed class in the country . “ The weaker sections and the oppressed classes in the country have been exploited in the country since its independence. The main reason for this is lack of political power in th hand of the oppressed and depressed communities. Had these communities had power in their hands, they would have ruled this country and come out of the clutches of untouchability by now,” Narsing says in an exclusive interview. He goes on to state that his wish is to see the oppressed classes in positions of dominance in the country. “ There is a Tamil adage ‘Live like a panther but not like a goat.’ It motivates me a lot and is driving force behind my social service activities. I will make sure that all weaker sections lead a life of panther,” says he with an ooze of confidence in his eyes. Advocate by Profession, Narsing is the firm believer of democratic political system of the country and is now gearing up to contest the upcoming assembly elections from Choppadandi Assembly Constituency of Karimnagar District. “ We have so many examples before us wherein several champions of the oppressed classes have fought the elections and won with thumping majority. Gujarat MLA Jignesh Mevani is a classic example of this. I will also follow in his foot steps and contest the elections to achieve my dreams in our Telangana State,” he says. He also has plans to take his social service movement to the next level – formation of a state level political party.
